PINEVILLE Three local junior golfers from The First Tee of Pine Mountain have been selected to play in the Home Care & Hospice First Tee Open at Pebble Beach, an official Champions Tour event that will be held September 3-5 during Labor Day weekend and televised nationally on Golf Channel.

Grand Junction, Colo. More than 100 golfers hit the green to swing for a housing and building association. Housing and Building Association of Northwestern Colorado sponsored a Golf Tournament at Bookcliff Country Club in Grand Junction on Friday.

The Tri-State Golf Group will hold its spring kickoff at 6 p.m. on March 9. The group will meet at Turoni’s Pizzery, 408 N. Main St. Individuals interested in joining the group are invited to attend. The group plays a nine-hole scramble every Thursday and Sunday. Golfers of all skill levels are welcome.— Dan Latini

Found this in West Side Leader & South Side News Leader. I like to learn this stuff. Check this thing out.
BATH — Several inches of snow were no problem for golfers who participated in the 20th annual Wayne Homes Chili Open, a fund-raiser for the Akron Rotary Club, which took place at Hale Farm and Village Feb. 6. Thanks to the use of brightly colored golf balls, like the one shown at right top, participants were able to tee off despite the heavy snowfall in the area.

BATH — The Wayne Homes Chili Open will tee off Feb. 6 at Hale Farm and Village. According to event officials, the 20th annual outing, which expects to draw more than 500 people of all ages, is a fund-raiser for the Rotary Camp for Children With Special Needs.
