The Tri-State Golf Group will hold its spring kickoff at 6 p.m. on March 9. The group will meet at Turoni’s Pizzery, 408 N. Main St. Individuals interested in joining the group are invited to attend. BATH — Several inches of snow were no problem for golfers who participated in the 20th annual Wayne Homes Chili Open, a fund-raiser for the Akron Rotary Club, which took place at Hale Farm and Village Feb. 6. Thanks to the use of brightly colored golf balls, like the one shown at right top, participants were able to tee off despite the heavy snowfall in the area.
