SPOKANE VALLEY — Rain or shine, Mother Nature is not stopping local golfers from hitting the links in the middle of winter. The calendar says it’s the middle of winter but that’s not stopping golfers braving the elements to play at Painted Hills Golf Course in Spokane Valley.  Hitting golf balls in the middle of February is a die-hard golfers dream. “It’s nice.  Look at the guys out here …

Golfers set to battle elements in 21st annual Chili Open

BATH — The Wayne Homes Chili Open will tee off Feb. 5 at Hale Farm & Village. According to event officials, the 21st annual outing, which expects to draw more than 500 people of all ages, is a fund-raiser for the Rotary Camp for Children With Special Needs in New Franklin.
