Grayling High School finished second at the Lake Michigan Conference championship tournament for golf on Friday, May 21, posting the best overall individual score of the meet. The event was held at Antrim Dells Golf Course.

Valley Golfers Vie For Titles At State Tournaments

AUSTIN – The Valley’s two golfers who qualified for the 5A State Tournament have finished their 1st of 2-rounds at Austin’s Jimmy Clay Golf Course.   Harlingen South’s Roman Robledo is tied for 6th after shooting a 73 on Thursday–that’s 5-shots off the overall lead.  On the girls side, Edinburg High’s Jessica Tamen shot an 82, and she’s tied for 11th, and she’s 14-behind the overall leader …

Golfers place at meet

The Bon Homme golfers competed last week with the girls playing at the Pickstown golf course, and the boys traveling to the Platte golf course. When the scores were posted at the end of the day it proved to be a disappointing showing for the golfers with no one placing in the top 15 places.

The Royals return to the golf course in 2010 with experience. They placed second in Mississippi 8 play and 10th in sections last spring. “Our strength is in our experience,” said Rogers coach Durand Onell. “We are returning five golfers who at some time competed at the varsity level last year.”
