The greens are flooded and the golfers are feeling the blues. It has been three days since the last tee off at The Royal because of the incessant rain.

Golfers say Modesto’s courses lack value

Modesto golfers suggested Monday that the city’s golf courses are running big deficits because golfers are bypassing Modesto to take advantage of bargains in Manteca and even the privately operated greens at Diablo Grande.
