Ramon Brobio, one of the most successful golfers ever produced by the Junior Golf Foundation of the Philippines (JGFP), is set to return in the country to train and coach the boys and girls’ squads joining the Montecillo Cup Junior Golf Team Championship in Lipa City, Batangas on March 6.

Pingree School golfers Jack Whelan and Sam Cregg, recently participated in the Massachusetts Junior Open Golf Tournament at Myopia Hunt Club. The tournament was open to golfers 18 and under.

Area golfers are in good shape heading into today’s final round of the Starburst Junior Golf Classic at courses in Temple and Waco. In the boys championship division, Andrew Johnson of Temple is tied for the lead with Kyle Middleton of Mansfield with a 2-over-par 144 after two days.
