It figures to be a dogfight when 10 teams gather today for the Collinsville Class 3A Boys Regional at the Arlington Greens golf course. “It’s pretty much of a dead heat among three schools,” said Edwardsville coach Dene Schickedanz, surveying the landscape.

The 2011 Big Sioux Ice Bowl starts at noon Sunday at the Big Sioux Recreation area near Brandon. Disc golfers raise food and money for their local food banks, while getting out in the wintertime to play a round of golf. The event is held in parks across the country in January and February.
