Golfers celebrate all things Scottish at Kilted Classic

Monday, August 29th, 2011

Discovered this on the Web. For some reason it appealed to me. Check it out.

Put away the polo shirts and closet the khakis. Dedicated participants of the Chicago Scots’ golf tournament will be wearing kilts. “It’s just a fun event,” said Tim Hatton, event co-chairman. “We do different things during the day. It’s not just a round of golf.”

I hope it works for you. I’m always looking for the best articles. You can check the source to read it all.

Chili Open serves up snowy fun for golfers (West Side Leader & South Side News Leader)

Thursday, February 11th, 2010

Found this in West Side Leader & South Side News Leader. I like to learn this stuff. Check this thing out.

BATH — Several inches of snow were no problem for golfers who participated in the 20th annual Wayne Homes Chili Open, a fund-raiser for the Akron Rotary Club, which took place at Hale Farm and Village Feb. 6. Thanks to the use of brightly colored golf balls, like the one shown at right top, participants were able to tee off despite the heavy snowfall in the area.

It worked for me. Always looking. You can see the source for more.
