The BMW PGA Championship, being contested this week at Wentworth Club in England, is the European Tour’s flagship event. Lee Westwood, ranked No. 1 in the world, has made a point recently of calling it golf’s “fifth major.” That’s a pointed reference to the PGA Tour’s flagship event, the Players Championship, the tournament most often given that moniker, The Wall Street Journal reported Saturday.
