Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11) – Golfers braved the rain Monday to raise money for the Mary Byron Project, and to help stop domestic violence. The annual golf scramble was held at the Heritage Hill Golf Club in Shepherdsville. About 94 golfers hit the links helping to raise around $70,000. Fellows like San Diego’s Tyrone Van Aswegen, whose final-round surge in difficult conditions at second-stage qualifying at Bear Creek Golf Club amounted to a 71 and, by 2 shots, medalist honors.
