The Cameron Yoe High School boys golf team competed in tournaments in Mart, placing fourth overall, but did not place in the Cameron Invitational.

It rained cats and dogs during the first round of the New York State Public High School Athletic Association boys golf championships at Robert Trent Jones Course at Cornell University on Sunday, but that didn’t stop Andrew Romano of Depew, Section VI champion Matt Petrosian of Lewiston-Porter and Austin Nowak of Lancaster from having nice days.

Late spring is a little like the holidays for high school boys golfers, the time of year top-notch players like those on the Riverside Poly team have been waiting for. Starting with today’s CIF-Southern Section team divisional competition at sites throughout Southern California, prep golf takes a serious turn.

Rolla golfers Baylor, Steelman advance to state

Two members of the Rolla High School boys golf team have advanced to state tournament competition through Thursdays Missouri Class 4 District 5 Tournament action at Old Hawthorne Golf Course. Senior Will Baylor and freshman Mike Steelman were Bulldog golfers who made the state tournament field. Both Baylor and Steelman shot 11-over-par 83 to earn the trip to state. Moberly golfers Loeber, Martin qualify for state

While the regular 2010 season has come to and end and for more than 90 percent of states high school boys golfers will have put their clubs away, Moberly juniors Mark Loeber and Jared Martin will get to swing their clubs during the final two days of Missouris prep season.
