Most golfers play with a handicap. It’s the number of strokes they receive to level the playing field against players of different skill levels. But Gary Weller is a golfer who has lived with a real-life handicap every day since April 2004 when he became the victim of a crime.

Tri-State golfers getting back into the swing (Evansville Courier & Press)

I spotted this article in Evansville Courier & Press. Have a gander.

The Tri-State Golf Group will hold its spring kickoff at 6 p.m. on March 9. The group will meet at Turoni’s Pizzery, 408 N. Main St. Individuals interested in joining the group are invited to attend. The group plays a nine-hole scramble every Thursday and Sunday. Golfers of all skill levels are welcome.— Dan Latini
