The Buffalo High School golfers fell victim to the Rochelle Ranch Golf Course this past weekend at the state golf meet in Rawlins. The Bison girls shot a 332 on Friday and improved to 327 Saturday, but the second day’s score was only good enough for a fifth-place finish.

The Bon Homme Cavaliers topped off a memorable 2010 golf season with a trip to water soaked Aberdeen for the 2010 state golf meet. Playing in water soaked and mosquito infested conditions, the Cavaliers still enjoyed the experience of golfing with the top golfers in South Dakota.

The Tri-State Golf Group will hold its spring kickoff at 6 p.m. on March 9. The group will meet at Turoni’s Pizzery, 408 N. Main St. Individuals interested in joining the group are invited to attend. The group plays a nine-hole scramble every Thursday and Sunday. Golfers of all skill levels are welcome.— Dan Latini
